IBM Links
Here we hope you will find useful information on SQL, DB2, Prolog, the AS/400 and other relevant information. Be sure to let us know what you think! Also, send links you would like to see included to SQLMaster@sqlthing.com
NOTICE: all products listed are products or services that CSD has had direct experience with. We will not list products or services that we have not personally used.
This link is to Hit Software. Hit makes ODBC and JDBC drivers for the AS/400 and other systems. Their drivers do not need Client Access to communicate with the AS/400, they use native TCP/IP. The drivers are good, fast and work with our class libraries. In one test, I got 13,000 records per second on bulk unloads. This is not a misprint, I said 13,000 records per second!

Whitecross makes massively parallel database computers. Check out this page for information on data mining, parallel computing, etc. Big in VLDB and fast query.
Redbrick makes a data warehouse database that is completely scaleable to TB size. Check their web for information on warehouse and mining with VLDB.

http://www.as400.ibm.com/clientaccess/service.htm
This link takes you directly to a page that describes how to run Client Access as a service. You need this if you want to use my objects, or ODBC, to talk to the 400 from IIs.
Logic Programming, Prolog and Expert Systems
Applied Logic Systems makes ALS Prolog, a constraint logic and logic programming system. ALS Prolog is extensible, you can add C predicates, and operates on ALL major OS and hardware platforms. ALS is easy to use and the technical support can't be beat. contact ken@als.com for information.
This is the home page of Logic Programming Associates, makers of LPA Prolog. LPA runs on several platforms and has wide support in the UK and Europe.
AMZI makes a Prolog for Windows and Unix. It is cheap and easy to interface.
Arity Prolog makes a fast prolog for Windows 95/NT. They also have a data mining product.
If Computer GmbH is a consulting firm that specialized in Prolog and Knowledge Based applications. If features MINERVA, a prolog that executes in the JAVA environment.
